After Effects CS6 – Mask Feather Tool

After Effects users have been asking for masks with per-vertex feathering for years.  After Effects CS6 finally delivers on this with the new Mask Feather Tool.

In addition to the old feather behavior, this new tool adds the ability to feather individual points, multiple points and the whole shape to create custom feathers never before possible without the use of multiple masks.  This welcome addition to After Effects CS6, comes with a few easy controls and changes to the pen tool and shortcuts.  In this video we go over all of the details in a quick simple tutorial.
